Installing USB drivers
If for the first time a peripheral (such as this unit) is connected
to the USB port on your computer, the USB drivers need to be
installed. The USB drivers are standard-appended to the OS so
that CD-ROM for the USB driver installation should not be
necessary. However, the OS installation CD-ROM may be
needed. Prepare it for just in case.
This section describes how to install the USB drivers and how
to verify the installation by OS type. Refer to the manual
attached to your computer, also.
Windows 98 Second Edition / Windows Millennium
Edition
Installing drivers
1 Turn on your computer.
2 Turn on the unit.
3 Press AUX/USB on the unit ( press FUNCTION on the remote
control repeatedly) to display "USB".
4 Connect your computer to the unit with the USB cable as
illustrated in "USB Connection" (page 38).
Your computer will automatically detect the unit and the
installation for the necessary devices (the drivers standard-
appended to the OS) will automatically begin. Follow the
on-screen instructions.
•Depending on your computer, the OS installation CD-ROM
may be needed. In that case, insert it as instructed.
•During detection, do not disconnect or connect the USB
cable.
Verifying installation
When the installation is complete, verify the drivers (devices)
are acknowledged.
