Combining two tracks
You can combine two tracks by erasing the index mark in
between.
1 Press MD E to select the MD function and
insert an MD.
2 Press f or g (numbered buttons on the
En
remote control) to select the latter track of the
two tracks to combine, or play back the latter
track.
For example, to combine the 2nd and the 3rd track, select
or play the 3rd track.
3 When selecting the track within a group:
1 Press EDIT twice so that "Track Edit" is displayed,
then press MULTI JOG (ENTER on the remote control)
within 6 seconds.
2 Press EDIT repeatedly until "T.Combine?" is
displayed, and press MULTI JOG within 6 seconds.
When playing the track or selecting the track not
belonging to any group:
Press EDIT repeatedly until "T.Combine?" is displayed,
and press MULTI JOG within 6 seconds.
To cancel, press s.
4 Within 1 minute, press MULTI JOG.
"EDITING" first, and then "Complete" is displayed.
•When the track is combined during play, press s to
stop play.

5 Remove the disc.
"WRITING" flashes and the data concerning the contents
of the editing are registered.
•If both of the tracks are titled, the title of the lower numbered
track remains. If only one track is titled on the tracks to
combine, this title remains.
•If two tracks belonging to different groups (two consecutive
groups) are combined, the combined track will belong to
the lower numbered group.
•You cannot combine tracks recorded in different modes
(standard stereo, LP2, LP4 and monaural).
Combining two groups
You can combine two groups.
1 Press MD E to select the MD function and
insert an MD.
2 Turn MULTI JOG (press GROUP/PRESET
N,M on the remote control) to select the
latter group of the two groups to combine in stop
mode.
For example, to combine the 2nd and 3rd groups, select
the 3rd group.
3 Press EDIT so that "Group Edit" is displayed,
and press MULTI JOG (ENTER on the remote
control) within 6 seconds.
4 Press EDIT repeatedly until "G.Combine?" is
displayed, and press MULTI JOG within 6
seconds.
To cancel, press s.
5 Within 1 minute, press MULTI JOG.
"EDITING" first, and then "Complete" is displayed.
6 Remove the disc.
"WRITING" flashes and the data concerning the contents
of the editing are registered.
•If both of the groups are titled, the title of the lower numbered
group remains. If only one group is titled on the groups to
combine, this title remains.
•If both of the groups are titled, the latter group remains as a
blank group.
Combining all "solo" groups
You can combine all solo groups (groups containing only one
track) on the disc into one group at one time.
1 Press MD E to select the MD function and
insert an MD.
2 If "GROUP" is turned on in the display, press
DISC/GROUP on the remote control to turn it off.
If "GROUP" is turned off, go to step 3.
3 In stop mode, press EDIT repeatedly until
"S.G.Comb?" is displayed, and then press MULTI
JOG (ENTER on the remote control) within 6
seconds.
"S.G.Comb??" is displayed.
To cancel, press s.
4 Within 1 minute, press MULTI JOG.
"EDITING" first, and then "Complete" is displayed.
•If there is only one solo group, combining cannot be
done and "Can't Edit" is displayed.
5 Remove the disc.
"WRITING" flashes and the data concerning the contents
of the editing are registered.
•All the solo groups moves to the position of the lowest
numbered group and combines.
