Switching between Disc mode and Group
mode
(See page 19 about Disc mode and Group mode)
Press DISC/GROUP on the remote control repeatedly
so that "GROUP" is turned off/on in the display
- "GROUP" is turned off : Disc mode
- "GROUP" is turned on : Group mode
Selecting a group
Turn MULTI JOG, or press GROUP/PRESETN,M
on the remote control repeatedly.
•In Group mode, only the tracks within a selected group can
be played. To play tracks not belonging to any groups, select
Disc mode.
•If no group exists on a disc, "GROUP" does not light up.
•It is impossible to select a group that contains no tracks.

Playback
1 Press MD E to select the MD function.
2 Insert an MD.
3 To play the entire disc, select Disc mode.
To play a desired group, select Group mode, and
then select the desired group.
4 Press MD E to start play.
To stop playback
Press s.
To pause playback
Press MD E. Press again to resume playback.
To skip to the beginning of the current/preceding/
succeeding track
Press f or g repeatedly.
To search (playback in fast forward or reverse)
Hold down f or g. Release at the desired point.
To select a track with the remote control (Direct play)
Press the numbered buttons to select a track.
- To select the 25th track, press +10, +10 and 5.
- To select the 20th track, press +10, +10 and 0.
To play at a double speed
During play, hold down MD E for more than two seconds.
To resume normal play, hold it down again.
To eject a disc
Press MD z.
Do not hold the disc when ejecting the disc.
To change the display in stop mode
Hold down SHIFT and press DISPLAY on the remote control.
In Disc mode
1 Total number of groups, total number of tracks and total
playing time.
2 Disc title (If no disc title is registered, "No D. Title" is
displayed.)
In Group mode
1 The group number, total number of tracks within the group
and total playing time of the group.
2 Group title (If no group title is registered, "No G. Title" is
displayed.)
