4.11.1 TIMING BELT TENSION
Adjustment
Refer to Figure 4-18
1. Remove the Uppercase (4.1).
2. Remove the Printer Mechanism from the
lower case (4.7).
3. Loosen the acijustment screw on the belt
tension plate.
4. Insert a belt tension adjustment gauge
through the hole on the outside edge of the
tension plate.
5. Adjustthe belt tension plate by pulling with
a force of 1600 gr. (57o2. or j.Slbs.), (fig.4-
Tighten the adjustment screw and apply
adnesive to the screw head.
Reassemble the printer and perform a self
test.
Check to insure that the horizontal
distance between characters is consistent.

PTS SENSOR BOARD ASSEMBLY
Refer to Figure 4-19
Removal
1. Removethe Printer Mechanism.
2. Unsolder the four lead wires of the PTS
Sensor Board Assembly.
3. Remove the cup screw securing the PTS
Sensor Board Assembly to the motor heat
sink.
4. Remove the PTS Sensor Board Assembly.

REPAIRS/ADJUSTMENTS
Replacement
NOTE: Use figure 4-20 for FX Printers. Figure 4-21
for RX, MX Printers.
1. Reassemble in reverse order using caution
when soldering the four lead wires m place.
2. Perform the PTSSensor Adjustment.
