RIBBON MASK POSITION
Adjustment
Refer to Figure 4-8
1. Set the Print Head Adjustment Lever to the
third step. (Center of travel)
2. The Ribbon Mask should be parallel to the
platen with a gap greater than .1mm (.004
mches) gap between the ribbon mask and
platen, and between the ribbon mask and
print head.

f the specifications in Step 2 are not
satisfied loosen the locking screws that
secure the ribbon mask to attain the
specification.
4. After correctly positioning the ribbon mask
check that tne specified clearances are
present at both ends of carriage travel as
well as in the center of the platen.
5. Once the correct positioning of the Ribbon
Mask has been verified tighten the locking
screws and apply Loctite (6.2.2).

HOME POSITION SENSOR ASSEMBLY
NOTE: Refer to Figure 4-9 for all FX printers. Figure
4-10 for RX and MX printers.
Removal
1. Remove the Printer Mechanism (4.7), and
place it on a work surface.
2. Remove the cup screw which secures the
assembly.
3. If printer is a RX or MX unsolder the HP
Sensor leads from the Terminal Board (Fig.
4-10).
4. (FX) Disconnect the Home Position Sensor
Assembly from the terminal board
(PL
3.12).
6. Remove the Home Position Sensor Assembly.
Replacement
NOTE: Use figures to solder leads in proper
position.
1. Reassemble in reverse order.
2. Perform HP Sensor Adjustment.
