Before removing the system board, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

Remove the keyboard/top cover (see

Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see

Remove the WLAN module (see
Remove the system board:
1.
Release the shielding (1) that covers the connector board cable ZIF connectors on the system board.
2.
Release the ZIF connectors (2) to which the connector board cables are connected, and then disconnect
the connector board cables from the system board.
3.
Release the shielding (3) that covers the power cable connector.
4.
Disconnect the power cable (4) from the connector board.
5.
Release the shielding (5) that covers the webcam module cable connector.
6.
Disconnect the webcam module cable (6) from the system board.
7.
Release the shielding (7) that covers the display panel cable connector.
8.
Disconnect the display panel cable (8) from the system board.
9.
Disconnect the speaker cable (9) from the system board.
