Cleaning the fuel store
Danger
The storage of wood pellets or woodchips can
cause a build-up of life threatening gases in the
fuel store.
Required measures when entering the pellet
store:
Shut down the power supply to the system
including the fuel feed at least one hour before
entering, for example at the separate MCB/
fuse or ON/OFF switch.
Check that the system is no longer live.
Safeguard the system against reconnection.
Storage rooms and containers should be ade-
quately ventilated before entering.
Allow transverse ventilation from entry door to
ventilation aperture for at least 15 minutes
before entering.
Monitoring with a CO detector is obligatory for
underground stores and stores with mechani-
cal ventilation.
Keep the door open while inside.
Entry to the storage room is only permitted
under the supervision of a person standing
outside the room.
The person entering should be protected by
additional detection and rescue equipment.
1. Observe the safety instructions for entering the fuel
store and the hazard warnings for the particular
fuel feed system.
2. Remove any remaining fuel from the pellet storage
room.

Wood dust, pellet dust, cinders and soot pose a
risk to the eyes, skin and airways.
Wear suitable personal protective equipment,
especially breathing equipment and safety gog-
gles.
Danger
Lashing movements of the leaf springs can
cause serious injury, even if the drive motor is
not connected to the power supply.
Do not enter the fuel store.
Conduct a supervised test run from outside
the fuel store.
3. Clean the pellet storage room.
