This printer supports the IEEE std 1284-1994 nibble mode. Note that, when used with
personal computers or cables that do not comply with the standards, the printers may
exhibit unpredictable behavior.

Functions

Pulse for reading data in at trailing edge.
8-bit parallel data.

Each signal is HIGH when data is logical 1 and
LOW when it is logical 0.
←PR
Indicates the completion of data reception.
←PR
Indicates whether the printer is ready for receiving
data. Data cannot be received while the signal is
HIGH.
←PR
Indicates paper error when held HIGH.
←PR
HIGH without exception when the parallel
interface is enabled.
→PR
Used in bidirectional communication.

Unassigned.

Signal ground.

Chassis ground.

Used for supplying +5V. Power cannot be
supplied to the outside of the printer.
