• Do not place the cord under a rug.
• The heater cannot be used adjacent to curtains
or combustible material. Curtains or combustible
material may be burned if the heater was installed
incorrectly.
• WARNING: Risk of Fire. Discontinue use
if the outlet or plug become hot to the touch.
Overheating may indicate a worn or damaged
outlet. Consult a qualified electrician for outlet
replacement.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Place the heater on a firm level surface.
2. Make sure the unit is in the OFF (O) position
before plugging the heater into the wall socket/
outlet.
CAUTION: THE FRONT GRILL IS HOT WHEN THE
HEATER IS IN OPERATION.

- Fan Only Setting
This will operate the fan of your heater without any
heat output.
1- LOW Heat
Your heater will run continuously in the low heat
setting.
2- HIGH Heat
Your heater will run continuously in the high heat
setting.
Thermostat Control (BFH003X only)
1. The heat output is controlled by your heater's
mode control

turn the mode control fully clockwise to its
maximum setting. When the room is at the
required temperature, turn the mode control
anticlockwise slowly until your heater switches
off.
2. Your heater will now cycle on and off to maintain
the selected room temperature. An audible click
may be heard when the thermostat operates and
this is quite normal.
NOTES: Your heater may not switch on when the
thermostat is set too low. This is normally because
the room is warmer than the thermostat setting and
is not indicative of a fault. It is normal for the heater
to cycle ON and OFF as it maintains the preset
temperature.
- Frost Guard (BFH003X only)
Your heater has a frost protection setting that can be
used to keep an area at a temperature above 5°C.
SOLUTION
Follow the instructions in the Auto Safety Shut Off
section of this manual.
Ensure that the plug is correctly inserted. Make
sure outlet is working.
Turn thermostat clockwise until heater works.
Keep any object at least 50cm away from the top,
back and sides and at least 200cm away from the
front grill.
Change setting to 2 (HIGH).
Turn thermostat clockwise.
To make this occur less frequently adjust the
thermostat control clockwise to the highest setting.
Turn mode control to the 1 (LOW) or 2 (HIGH)
setting.
If the noise persists please call local Bionaire
service reprensentative.
Dust or other debris has accumulated on the
heating element. Make sure the heater is in a well
ventilated area and continue running until the odour
goes away.
