Milk Carafe

This section explains how to use a milk carafe to prepare a cappuccino or
hot milk.
Note: Before using the milk carafe, clean it thoroughly as described in the chap-
ter "Cleaning and Maintenance".
Note: Milk must be stored in the refrigerator and poured into the carafe only
when preparing a beverage with milk. After use, put the carafe back in the
refrigerator.
DO NOT leave the milk out of the refrigerator for more than 15 minutes.
Note: The milk container must be fi lled with milk at refrigerator temperature.
Warning! Use the milk container for preparing beverages and drinking
water for cleaning. Never use the container with liquids other than those
indicated.
Note: Clean the dispensing spout with a cloth after each use to avoid that milk
residues are poured after the dispensing cycle.

Filling the Milk Carafe

The milk carafe may be fi lled before the use or, if necessary, also during use.
To fi ll the carafe, proceed as follows:
1 Lift the top lid of the carafe:

Pour the milk: The level of milk poured into the carafe must be be-
tween the (MIN) level and the (MAX) level.
Thereafter the container may be used to brew the desired beverages.
