Using Coff ee Beans

To brew a cup of Espresso coff ee, press and release:
1 The " " button to select the desired Aroma;

The " " button for a cup of espresso;
or
the " " button for a cup of long espresso.
The brewing cycle will start:
To brew 1 cup of coff ee, press the button once. This icon will be dis-
played.
To brew 2 cups of coff ee, press the button twice consecutively. This
icon will be displayed.
Note: To brew 2 cups of coff ee, the machine automatically grinds and doses the
correct amount of coff ee. Brewing two coff ees requires two grinding cycles and
two brewing cycles, which the machine carries out automatically.

Once the prebrewing cycle is complete, coff ee begins to come out of
the dispensing spout.

The coff ee brewing process stops automatically. It is nevertheless
possible to interrupt the coff ee brewing process by pressing the "
"STOP" button.

Using Pre-ground Coff ee

This function allows using pre-ground and decaff einated coff ee.
Pre-ground coff ee must be poured into the relevant compartment posi-
tioned next to the coff ee bean hopper. Only use ground coff ee for espresso
machines and never coff ee beans or instant coff ee.
Note:
With this function you can just brew one cup of coff ee at a time.
If no pre-ground coff ee is poured into the compartment, only water will be
dispensed.
If the dose is excessive and 2 or more measuring scoops of coff ee are used, the
machine will not brew the product. Also in this case, the machine will run an
empty cycle and discharge any ground coff ee into the coff ee grounds drawer.
To brew coff ee:

Press and release the "
activate the pre-ground coff ee function.

Lift the pre-ground coff ee compartment lid.
Add only 1 scoop of pre-ground coff ee to the compartment. Use only
the measuring scoop supplied with the machine to perform this opera-
tion. Then, close the lid.
