Important safeguards

Read the instruction manu al carefully before operating the machine.
If you have any further questions or if you require any further information, please contact your specialised dealer
before starting up the espresso coffee machine.
The machine should only be used by instructed adult persons. Keep the machine out of the reach of children.
Our machines comply with the relevant safety regulations.
Any repairing or change of single components must be carried out by an authorised specialised dealer.
In case of non-observance we do not assume liability and are not liable to recourse.
Ask us for authorised service points outside Europe. Find your local dealer's contact details on page 1.
Precautions:
Never immerse the machine in water; do not operate the machine with wet hands.
Never expose the machine to the effects of weather (frost, snow, rain) and do not use it outdoors.
Always plug the machine into an earthed socket and do not leave it unattended.
Place the machine on an even and stable surface. You can regulate the height of the machine by adjusting the
feet.
Never place the machine on hot surfaces.
Before starting the machine, make sure that the local mains supply voltage corresponds to the information given on
the type plate on the front panel of the espresso coffee machine.
The machine must not be operated with carbonated water but with soft potable water. Do not operate the machine
without water.
Where necessary, make use of a water softener/water filter cartridge in order to reach an adequate hardness degree.
If these measures are insufficient, a prophylactic descaling of the machine is possible.
Follow our descaling instructions (see page 16). Doing so, you will protect your machine against expensive repairing.
An already calcified machine may only be descaled by your specialised dealer because a partial disassembling of the
boiler and the tubing will be necessary to prevent the system from being blocked by lime residues. A late descaling can
cause substantial damage to the machine.
The BARISTA / BARISTA PROFI must be exclusively used for the preparation of coffee, hot water and steam. The
machine is not intended for commercial use.
