Optional Memory Module

Removing an Optional Memory Module
To remove an optional memory module, make sure the computer is in boot mode then follow
the steps below and refer to figures 4-6 and 4-7.
1.
Turn the computer off. Disconnect the AC power cord and all external cables
connected to the computer.

Remove the battery pack and optional PC card as described in sections 4.2 and
4.3.
3.
Turn the computer upside down.
Remove two M2x4 screws securing the memory module socket cover .

Slide your fingernail or a thin object under the cover and remove it.

Remove two M2x4 screws securing the module to a brace at the center of the

module.
7.
Use a thin object to lift up the edge to disengage the connectors, then grasp the
module by the edges and remove it.
