Adjusting the Rear Shield

No Parts Required
Procedure
Under most conditions, you can attain the best
dispersion when the rear shield is closed (front
discharge). When conditions are heavy or wet, you
can open the rear shield.
To open the rear shield
securing the shield to the left side plate, rotate the
shield to the open position, and tighten the bolt.

Installing the Loose Parts

Parts needed for this procedure:
1 Straight grease fitting
1 O-ring
2 Screws

Procedure
Install the grease fitting on the reel-motor side of the
cutting unit. Use
of the reel motors.
1. Cutting unit 1
2. Cutting unit 2
3. Cutting unit 3
4. Cutting unit 4
1. Remove and discard the set screw on the
reel-motor side plate

2. Install the straight grease fitting
3. If there are no bolts on the reel-motor side plate,
install them
