3. To stop, release the traction control. If the unit does not
stop:
• Adjust the control cable. See Adjusting the Traction
Control Cable.
• If the unit still does not stop, see an authorized dealer.
4. To drive backward, shift the speed select control into one
of the reverse positions.
5. Press and hold down the traction control lever on the left
handle.
6. To stop, release the traction control. If the unit does not
stop:
• Adjust the control cable. See Adjusting the Traction
Control Cable.
• If the unit still does not stop, see an authorized dealer.
NOTICE Do not overload the machine capacity by attempting
to remove snow at too fast of a rate.
Using Free Hand™ Feature
The Free Hand™ feature, lets you release the auger control to
reach other controls without stopping the unit.

1. Press down and hold the auger control lever (A, Figure 11
).
2. Press down and hold the traction control lever (B).
3. Release the auger control so the right hand is free to reach
other controls.
• If the auger stops, see an authorized dealer.
Note: The Free Hand feature cannot actuate by releasing the
traction control.
Using Easy Turn™ Traction Control
The Easy Turn™ (Figure 1) traction control feature helps the
operator turn the unit. If your model is equipped with Easy Turn,
it will have a lever below the left hand grip. Easy Turn
temporarily disengages one drive wheel while the other
continues to drive through the turn.

1. Lift and hold the Easy Turn traction control (Figure 13) lever
located below the left hand grip.
Note: Easy Turn traction control will be more difficult to activate
under a heavy load. Activate the lever before a turn.
