SWITCH/CHARGE PLUG REPLACEMENT LE-1

PROCEDURE:  
NOTE: Remove the fuse and de-activate the circuit breaker prior to any maintainance on
this equipment.  
1. Remove the four 10-24NC Screws(Item 1), Brake Handle Guide(Item 2), five 8-32NC Screws (Item
3), five Clips(Item 4), and the Wheel Brake Handle(Item 5). Remove the two Handle Housing
Covers(Item 6).
2. Remove the Nut(Item 7) retaining the Toggle Switch(Item 8), and dis-engage the Toggle Switch
from the Handle Housing Cover. If Toggle Switch replacement is required, remove the two switch
wires and replace Switch at this time.
3. Un-screw the Rubber Covers(Item 9) and remove the Push Button Switches(Item 10) out the sides
of the Handle Housing. Install new Push Button Switches, swapping one wire at a time to maintain
order.
NOTE: Do not remove any wires unless the switch is to be replaced.
4. Remove the Rocker Switch(Item 11) by pushing in the retaining tangs with a screw driver. Leave
the wires in place so they can be transfered to the new Rocker Switch in correct order.
5. If the charge plug(Item 13) requires replacement, remove the two 6-32NC nuts and screws(Item
12), and pull out the charge plug with wires.
6. Transfer wires from the charge plug to the replacement charge plug maintaining wire placement.
Reinstall the plug into the Handle Housing, insert the two 6-32NC Screws and secure with the two
6-32NC Nuts.
7. Transfer the wires, one by one, from the Rocker Switch to the replacement Rocker Switch,
ensuring the same wire placement order. Insert the Rocker Switch by pushing into the Handle
Housing.
8. Insert the Push Button Switches into the Handle Housing and secure with the Rubber Covers.
9. Insert the Toggle Switch into the Handle Housing Cover and retain with the Switch Nut.
10. Position the Wheel Brake Handle on the frame and attach with the five Clips and 8-32NC Screws.
Ensure the Handle moves freely up and down. Attach the Handle Housing Covers and Brake
Handle Guide, securing with the 10-24NC Screw.
11. Re-install the fuse, engage the circuit breaker, and test.
