Installing the Drive-Line
Guard and Hood Saddle
1. Align the holes in the drive-line guard with the
capscrew in the guard bracket and heat shield
(Figure 9).

2. Assemble the drive-line guard
the bracket, heat shield, and capscrews with
the 2 flange nuts that you removed in step
of Removing the Hood Saddle and Drive-Line
Guard (page 1).
3. Tilt the heat shield down so that the capscrews
and flange locknuts of the driveshaft do not
contact the shield when the driveshaft rotates
(Figure 10).

4. Tighten the flange nut and capscrews securing
the drive-line guard and heat shield to the

Finishing the Kit Installation
1. Tilt the seat down and ensure that it secures to
the frame of the machine with the latch.
2. Close the hood and secure it with the latches.
