4. Rebuckle Vehicle Belt
Tighten the Tether Strap

Push firmly on the back of the
child restraint and tighten the
tether strap.

Check Vehicle Belt
Tightness
Grasp the child restraint at the
belt path with one hand. Push
and pull the child restraint
from side to side, forward
and back. The child restraint
should not move more than
2.5 cm (1 in.) and the vehicle
belt should not loosen.
NOTE: If it moves more than 2.5 cm (1 in.) or if the vehicle
belt loosens, try reinstalling the child restraint or try another
seating location. If you still have questions after installing
the locking clip please contact our Consumer Relations
department.
Secure your child in the child restraint.
Remove the locking clip when the vehicle seat belt is not
being used with a child restraint.
