7. With control knob pressed in, press and release
igniter button. This will light pilot. The pilot is
attached to the front burner. If needed, keep
pressing igniter button until pilot lights.
NOTE: If pilot does not stay lit, contact a quali-
fi ed service person or gas supplier for repairs.
Until repairs are made, light pilot with match.
To light pilot with match, see Manual Lighting
Procedure.
8. Keep control knob pressed in for 30 seconds
after lighting pilot. After 30 seconds, release
control knob.
• If control knob does not pop out when re-
leased, contact a qualifi ed service person or
gas supplier for repairs.
NOTE: If pilot goes out, repeat steps 4 through
8 beginning on Pages 22-23.
9. Slightly push in and turn control knob counter-
clockwise
10. Wait one minute to light burners.
11. Set fl ame adjustment knob to any level between
HI and LO.
12. To leave pilot lit and shut off burners only: turn
control knob clockwise
position, or use remote control manual OFF
button, or set selector switch in the OFF po si-
tion.
WARNING: Make sure the selector
switch is in the OFF position when
you are away from home for long
periods of time. Heater will come on
automatically with selector switch in
the ON position.

PROCEDURE
1. Follow steps 1 through 6 under Lighting
Instructions, Page 22.
2. Press control knob and light pilot with match.
3. Keep control knob pressed in for 30 seconds
after lighting pilot. After 30 seconds, release
control knob. Now follow steps 9 through 11,
column 1.
BLOWER
OPERATION
WARNING: This fi replace has a
three-prong, grounded electrical plug.
This plug helps protect you against
electrical shock. Only connect plug
to a properly grounded, three-prong
receptacle. Do not cut or remove the
grounding prong from this plug.
Access the blower control knob by pushing in on the
bottom corners of the fi replace screen, grasp the
bottom of the screen and pull out and up to remove
the screen. The blower control knob is located on
the left side of the fi replace fl oor.
The blower is thermostatically controlled. This
means the fi replace and blower will not turn on
and off at the same time. The fi replace may run for
several minutes before the blower turns on. After
the fi replace is shut off, the blower will continue
to operate until the fi replace temperature cools.
The blower also includes a variable speed control.
Turn the knob clockwise to turn the blower to the
high position. Continuing to turn the knob will
reduce the speed of the blower until it reaches a
preset low speed.
