The e n tire veh icle m ay be lo ck e d o r
un lo c ke d w ith th e c e n tra l lo ck in g s y s ­
te m by:
• U sing th e m a ste r o r valet key in
e ith e r fro n t do or.
• U sing th e m a ste r key in the ta il­
gate lock.
The cen tra l lo ckin g syste m lo ck s o r
u n lo c k s all d o o rs and th e fuel fille r
flap.
W hen lo c k in g th e car, all d o o r lo ck
b u tto n s sh o u ld m ove d o w n (the ta il­
gate b u tto n sh o u ld m ove a least half­
w ay do w n ). If any b u tto n stays in the
up p o s itio n , th e re sp e ctive d o o r is n o t
p ro p e rly clo se d . O pen th e d o o r, push
th e d o o r lo c k b u tto n d o w n and c lo s e
th e d o o r c o rre c tly .
The c e n tra l lo ckin g system can be
enga ge d fro m in side the veh icle by
p u sh in g d o w n the d o o r lo c k b u tto n
on th e d rive r-sid e , p a s se n g e r-s id e o r
tailga te , p ro vid e d th e d o o r on the
d riv e r-s id e is p ro p e rly clo s e d . On the
p a sse n g e r-sid e d o o r and tailga te , the
c e n tra l lo c k in g system can only be
en ga ge d if th e key is rem o ved fro m
th e ig n itio n s w itc h a n d /o r is re in ­
s e rte d in th e ig n itio n sw itc h w ith o u t
be in g tu rn e d (key in p o s itio n 0).

o u ts id e , th e a n ti-th e ft alarm w ill com e
on if a d o o r is o p e n e d fro m th e inside.
W hen en g a g in g th e c e n tra l lo c k in g
syste m fro m th e tailga te , th e tailga te
w ill rem ain lo c k e d w h en u n lo c k in g th e
ca r fro m e ith e r fro n t d o o r. The ta ilg a te
can o n ly th e n be u n lo c k e d by using
th e m a s te r key in th e ta ilg a te lock.
The rear d o o rs can be in d e p e n d e n tly
u n lo c k e d fro m th e in side by firs t p u ll­
ing th e d o o r lo c k b u tto n up and the n
p u lling th e handle in th e d o o r trim
panel. To re lo c k th e re s p e c tiv e do or,
p u sh th e d o o r lo c k b u tto n d o w n
again.

If th e fuel fille r flap ca n n o t be op en ed ,
re fe r to " M anual R elease o f Fuel Filler
F lap" (page 96).
