2.10 ANI Board (QE-2)

THIS POSTSCRIPT IS ADDED IN OCTOBER, 2006.
QE-2 MANUFACTURED BY CIMARRON
TECHNOLOGIES HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED. TO
EXTEND A NEW ANI BOARD IN THE TRANSCEIVER,
ALTERNATIVELY USE CIM-1000K-20
MANUFACTUERED BY CIMARRON TECHNOLOGIES.

The ANI Board can be installed in the TK-7160/
TK-8160. This section describes how to install the
Cimarron Technologies QE-2 in the transceiver.
Required Items to Install the ANI Board
Transceiver
QE-2
Double-sided adhesive tape supplied with the QE-2
Cushion tape
THE TRANSCEIVER MUST BE TURNED OFF AND THE
POWER CABLE MUST BE REMOVED BEFORE
INSTALLING THE ANI BOARD IN THE TRANSCEIVER.
2.10.1 Preparing QE-2 Board
1. Remove the QE-2 board from the transceiver.
2. The circuit of the QE-2 board must be changed as
follows.
(1) Heat and use suction to remove the solder from K.

(2) Solder the position of E and V.

(3) Confirm that E, V and P are soldered (bridged).
3. Connect the cable (E37-1164-x5) having the
connector used for installing the ANI Board to the
QE-2 board.
