Messages That Appear on the Base Control Panel

This describes the error messages that may appear on the
machine's control panel, and how to take action to remedy
the problem. When an error message appears, you cannot
continue printing. Correct the error and switch off the sub
power.
If the action described here does not correct the problem,
or if an error message not described here appears, contact
your authorized Roland DG Corp. dealer or Roland DG
Corp. service center.
To correct an error, carry out the following steps.
1. Press BUZZER STOP, to stop the buzzer.
2. Take action according to the error message.
3. Press ALARM RESET to clear the error.
4. Switch off the sub power.
[ EMERGENCY SW was pushed. ]
Printing was paused because the EMERGENCY SW
was pressed.
Remedy: Release the EMERGENCY SW.
[ Table motor error occurred. ]
A motor error occurred.
Remedy: Check if there is an object that hinders operation
near the table. If this error appears, switch off the main
power switch and then back on.
[ Lifter motor error occurred. ]
A motor error occurred.
Remedy: Check if there is an object that hinders operation
near the table. If this error appears, switch off the main
power switch and then back on.
[ Media sensor error occurred. ]
The sensor does not react because the media sen-
sor is damaged or is not installed at the correct po-
sition.
Remedy: Press ALARM RESET, and then contact your au-
thorized Roland DG Corp. dealer or Roland DG Corp. ser-
vice center.
[ Safety sensor error occurred. ]
The safety sensor does not react.
Remedy: Press ALARM RESET, and then contact your au-
thorized Roland DG Corp. dealer or Roland DG Corp. ser-
vice center.
5-5 If an Error Message Appears
[ Belt sw was pushed. ]
The touch sensor touched something while in op-
eration.
Remedy: Remove the object that is touching the touch sen-
sor. When something touches the touch sensor when in
operation, the printer makes an emergency stop for safety
reasons.
[ Safety sensor responded. ]
The safety sensor reacted during printing, because
the media is not flat.
Remedy: Press ALARM RESET and then [HOME].
Then, set the print start position again. Set the upper edge
height to the highest point on the media.
