FAULTFINDING
Problem
Tool will not
operate.
Motor runs but pad
does not rotate.
Heavy internal
sparking.
Motor becomes
hot.
Excessive vibration.

Possible Cause
No power supply.
Faulty switch.
Fuse blown.
Faulty motor.
Drive gear broken.
Faulty motor.
Unduly heavy use.
Air vents have become
blocked.
Low supply voltage.
Disc not mounted
correctly.
Machine bearings worn.

Remedy
Check supply and
rectify as necessary.
Consult your Clarke dealer.
Replace fuse as on page

Reduce the force applied
to the machine. Let the
machine do the work.
Clean out the air vents
using compressed air or
clean with a dry cloth. Use
PPE when working with
compressed air.
Ensure supply voltage is
correct. If an extension
cable is used, ensure it is of
the correct rating and is
fully unwound.
Check and rectify.
Consult your Clarke dealer.
