Troubleshooting

If the projector appears to be operating erratically, try to diagnose and correct the problem using the following guide. If
the problem still persists, consult your Sony dealer.
Power
Symptom Cause
Power is not turned on. The main power is turned off.

Remedy
Set the power switch on the projector to the upper position (page
22).
Connect the projector and a computer properly (page 17).

Remedy
Check that the proper connection has been made (page 20).
Select the input source correctly in the SCREEN CONTROL
window (page 24).
Click the "OFF" button of "MUTING" (page 25) or the "OFF"
button of "CUT OFF" (page 25) in the SCREEN CONTROL
window, or press the MUTING button on the Remote Commander
(page 23).
Reduce the room temperature so that it becomes within the
operating temperature (5–35°C).
Set "Signal Mode" of "Input Source" in the PICTURE CONTROL
window correctly (page 27).
Adjust the "Contrast" or "Brightness" in the PICTURE
CONTROL window (page 28), or adjust them using the CONTR
or BRIGHT button on the Remote Commander (page 11).
Set "LAMP POWER" or "LAMP SELECT" in the
INSTALLATION window correctly (page 31).
Click the "ON" button of "OSD" in the SCREEN CONTROL
window (page 10).
Check that the signal can be projected as a 4K image (page 25).
Remedy
Check that the proper connection between the projector and a
computer has been made (page 17).
Consult your Sony dealer.
Replace with new batteries (page 12).
