Normal setting
The system automatically cools or heats depending on
the outside temperature and the selected interior tem per
ature. The air conditioning compressor engages when
outside temperatures are above 5°C (41 °F).
In the cooling mode, air is directed only to the adjust
able air outlets (6) and (8).
In the heating mode, warm air is primarily directed to
the footwells and to the adjustable air outlets (8).
Enough air is supplied to the windshield to keep the
glass defogged in normal weather conditions. In the
heating mode, air will also be periodically emitted from
the adjustable air outlets (6).
At low outside temperatures, fan operation does not
start until the engine coolant has warmed up.
§ ^ | EC (ECONOMY) = Economical setting
The function of this setting corresponds to the " Normal"
setting, however, it is not possible to air condition in this
setting because the air conditioning compressor will not
engage (fuel savings).
