12. ApplicationLauncher

ApplicationLauncher is a (application guard) tool that limits applications to start up so that only the specified
applications can be run. It also restricts the operation on the HOME screen to prevent the users from starting
non-listed applications or changing any configuration erroneously in order to secure smooth BHT operation.

12.1. Start-up Screen

(1) User mode
(2) Administrator mode
ApplicationLauncher runs in two operation modes: user mode and administrator mode. The default is the user
mode. In this mode, users are limited to access to applications.
ApplicationLauncher monitors all application activities in the user mode and stops any non-listed application. In
this way, unintended applications will not be able to start up.
In the user mode, this ApplicationLauncher cannot be stopped, and the menu configurations and settings
cannot be changed. To perform these operations, enter the password and switch to the administrator mode.

12.2. Application monitoring

When running in user mode, the ApplicationLauncher monitors the operation status of applications with
screen, and stops the application if it is an unregistered application. By doing this, unintended application
operation will be prevented. To operate an application, you must register it as one of the following whitelist
types.
