Alignment
Pin Motor
The two alignment pins are inserted into the holes at either end of
the punched edge to make sure that the spine is aligned correctly
so the rings can be inserted into the punched holes.
Normally, the pins are at their home positions detected by the
alignment pin HP sensor.
During the pin alignment, the pins project up untin detected by the
alignment pin up sensor.
Slide 54
The alignment pins are projected and retracted by a scissors lift (rack and pinion)
driven by the alignment pin motor.
This is the last alignment adjustment done before ring binding.
