Jumper setting NO:
In the delivery setting the "Stuffing" function is deactivated. This permits splitting the frames.
This is possible only on the PDH transmission level (s. Figure 23). In the case of transmissi-
on on the SDH level, only direct connections are possible (s. Figure 14).
Jumper setting YES:
With the stuffing function being active, an additional bit is reserved in timeslot 1 in every
frame for the optical interfaces FO1/LWL1 and FO2/LWL2. With this function it is possible to
compensate slight jitter. The frame splitting (s. Figure 23) is not possible if the jumper is in
the position "YES".
