Signal connections
Direct connection: with solid bare wire or flexible wire for cross–section 0.2 mm
AWG 14 to 24 or flexible wire with end sleeves for cross–section 0.25 mm
AWG 16 to 23. By using a wire for a less cross–section (min. AWG 26), the wire has to be
connected to the terminal block by a practical facility (end sleeve).
Please use copper conductors only!
The following types of cable should be used for connection between the communiction
device (multiplexer) and CC–2M (recommendation).
Cables with two twisted pairs and additional screen should be used. The impedance must
be 120 Ω in E1 mode and 100 Ω in T1 mode. The screen must be connected on both sides.
The arrangement of the connection at the screw–type terminals of the CC–2M is shown in
the following table.
