Installation, Error Messages

Form of Delivery and Installation
The project example of the CP 440 and the CP 440: Point -to-Point
Communication, Parameter Assignment parameterization interface is supplied
together with the function blocks and this manual on a CD.
The program examples are installed together with the parameterization interface.
Installation is described in Section 5.1 After installation, the examples are stored in
the following project:
CP440_PtP_Com
Open the project in SIMATIC Manager of STEP 7 by choosing the File > Open >
Project menu command.
The project example is available both compiled and as a source file. A list of all the
symbols used in the example is also included.
If a second CP 440 is not available as a communication partner, you must remove
the CP 440 in HWCONFIG with Edit > Delete. The call of the FC 22 (FC for
Receive) must also be commented out of the examples "CP440 SEND RECV" ,
"CP440 1CYC" and "CP440 ASCII BCC" in OB 1.
Downloading to the CPU
The hardware for the example is fully set up, and the programming device is
connected.
After the overall reset of the CPU (STOP operating mode), transfer the entire
example to the user memory. Then use the mode selector to change from STOP to
RUN.
Malfunction
If an error occurs at startup, the cyclically processed block calls are terminated
with an error.
If there is an error message, the ERROR parameter output of the blocks is set. A
more precise error description is then stored in the STATUS parameter of the
blocks. If STATUS contains one of the error messages 16#1E0E or 16#1E0F, the
exact error description is stored in the SFCERR variable in the instance DB.
