Diagnostics with the CP 440
Remedy
Check the connecting cable of the
communication partner, or check whether
both devices have same setting for the
transmission rate, parity and number of stop
bits.
Correct fault by changing system setup or
line installation.
Reparameterize the communication partner,
or deal with the data in the CP more quickly.
Work with flow control as much as you can.
Use the entire receive buffer. Set the
"Reaction to CPU Stop" parameter in the
basic parameters to "Continue".
Correction required at the partner
Remedy
Call the receive block more often to avoid
the receive buffer overflowing.
Remedy
Carry out a firmware update.
