Invacare® Robin®
1. Pull and hold the red emergency strap A underside of
the hoist B to lower the patient.
Keep on pulling, until the patient is lowered to a safe
position.
2. Release the red emergency strap to stop lowering the
patient.
IMPORTANT!
When the red emergency strap has been pulled,
the hoist functions, including the end stop, are
deactivated. The blue indicator light turns off.
With the end stop function deactivated, the lifting
straps will not stop automatically when lowered
to their full length. Continued lowering could
result in rolling up the lifting straps unevenly and
in the wrong way.
– Pull the red emergency strap only until the
patient is lowered to a safe position.
– DO NOT lower the lifting straps to their full
length or more.
– To activate the hoist functions again, reset
the emergency stop. See 5.9 Resetting the
emergency stop or lowering feature, page 12.
5.9 Resetting the emergency stop or
lowering feature
WARNING!
– If the emergency stop or emergency lowering
must be used, there is a problem with the
system. Contact your dealer or Invacare
representative for service before using the
system again.

When the red emergency strap B has been pulled, the
reset button A pops out so that a red ring is visible. The
hoist will not function until the emergency stop or lowering
feature is reset.
1. Press the reset button A to reset the emergency stop
or lowering feature.
2. Activate the hand control to resume use of the hoist.
