Hearing Aid Compatibility (HAC) Function

Your phone has been tested for hearing aid device compatibility and rated. (See "Using Your
Phone With a Hearing Aid Device" on page 67.) To use this function effectively, set the hearing
aid setting to on.
1.
Press MENU/OK > Settings/Tools > Settings > More... > Accessibility > Hearing Aid.
2.
A message appears. Press OK (left softkey) to continue.
3.
Select On or Off.

Phone Setup Options

Call Answer Mode

You can select how to answer incoming calls on your phone: whether you want to be required to
press TALK, or any key (except END, BACK, softkeys, and side keys).
1.
Press MENU/OK > Settings/Tools > Settings > More... > Call Setup > Call Answer.
2.
Select Talk Key or Any Key.

Auto Answer Mode

You can set your phone to automatically pick up incoming calls with an optional hands-free
device or in speakerphone mode. Remember, your phone will answer calls in Auto Answer
mode even when you are not present.
1.
Press MENU/OK > Settings/Tools > Settings > More... > Call Setup > Auto-Answer.
2.
Select Hands-free or Speakerphone and press MENU/OK.
3.
Select either 5 Seconds, 15 Seconds, or Off and press MENU/OK.

Setting Abbreviated Dialing

To activate the Contacts Match feature:
1.
Press MENU/OK > Settings/Tools > Settings > More... > Call Setup > Contacts Match.
2.
Select On.
Select Off to deactivate this feature.
To activate the Prepend feature:
1.
Press MENU/OK > Settings/Tools > Settings > More... > Call Setup > Abbreviated
Dialing.
2.
Select Prepend > On.
Select Off to deactivate this feature.
3.
Select Prepend#, enter the first five- or six- digit prefix, and then select OK (left softkey).
Tip: If you enter less than 5 digits, the display shows a warning message.
