Setting Return to Idle Mode

Idle mode refers to standby mode, when signal is available, or signal search mode, when signal
is sought for. You can select how to return to idle mode.
1.
Press MENU/OK > Settings/Tools > Settings > Display > Return to Idle.
2.
A message appears. Press OK (left softkey) to continue.
3.
Select an option and press MENU/OK:
Automatically to return to idle mode automatically when no key is pressed for 30
seconds.
End Key to return to idle mode by pressing END/.
Note: The End Key setting affects the battery's talk and standby times.

Location Settings

Your phone is equipped with a Location feature for use in connection with location-based
services. The Location feature allows the network to detect your position.
To Turn the Location feature On or Off:
1.
Press MENU/OK > Settings/Tools > Settings > More... > Location.
2.
A message appears. Press OK (left softkey) to continue.
3.
Select On or Off.

Messaging Settings

Setting Message Notification

Your phone notifies you of a new message by displaying an icon on your display screen.
1.
Press MENU/OK > Settings/Tools > Settings > Messages > Notification.
2.
Select Msgs and Icon or Icon only.

Setting Message Reminder

Your phone can notify you of a new message arrival with an audible alert.
1.
Press MENU/OK > Settings/Tools > Settings > Messages > Message Reminder.
2.
Select Message, Voicemail, Voice SMS, or Email and set the frequency and the length of
alert.
