Excessive bearing play and / or
bearing defective.
Motor brake is rubbing.
Inverter parameterization.
Incorrect oil level for the mounting
position being used.
Gearbox leaks.
Overpressure due to lack of venting.
Overpressure due to soiled venting.
Shaft sealing rings defective.
Cover / flange bolts loose.
Surface sealing defective (e.g. on
cover, flange).
Damage in transit (e.g. hairline cracks). Check the gearbox for damage in

Frequent cold starts during which the
oil foams up.
Motor fan cover and / or gearbox very
dirty.
Incorrect oil level for the mounting

Remedy
Check the bearing and replace if
necessary.
Check air gap and adjust if necessary.

Checking the gearbox for leaks

Mount the venting as appropriate for
the mounting position (Page 95).
Clean the venting (Page 84).
Replace the shaft sealing rings.
Checking tightness of fastening bolts
