13 Function test

13.1 Testing the indicating elements

● The function test must be carried out in accordance with EN 54-16, section
16.2, 'Function tests'.
● Perform the function test on site at the same time as the system acceptance
test.
If the system is connected to a fire detection installation (FDI), the function test
must be performed with the FDI connected.
You can test the required visual and acoustic indicating elements according to EN
54-16 by operating them manually in access level 1 or 2 in accordance with the
configuration of the VACIE.
● Check the display and LED for any indication of shutdowns if corresponding
devices are part of the system.
● Check the display by pressing the <Buzzer reset/test – acknowledgment/test>
button on the PT2004 and 2007.
● Check the keypad functions.
● A full acceptance test must be performed after every time a change is made to
the system.
Testing interval
All indicating elements must be tested every six months.
