5 Access levels

The access level describes one of several conditions of voice alarm control and
indicating equipment (VACIE) in which an appropriately authorized user can have
access to or a view of the following functions on the system:
Activating operating elements
Performing operations
Viewing indicators and/or information
Access authorization is implemented on a country-specific basis and can be
enabled using the following protective measures, for example:
Keyboard shortcut
Key switch
Locked cabinet door
Closed room
Other
Access levels 1...4 have the following properties:
Access level 1
Access level 1 is accessible to everyone or, depending on the configuration of the
voice alarm system, to authorized persons with a general responsibility for
monitoring safety.
Access level 2
Access level 2 is accessible to trained and authorized persons who are responsible
for safety.
In access level 2, the VACIE can be operated in the following operating conditions:
Quiescent condition
Voice alarm condition
Fault warning condition
Disablement condition
Access level 3
Access level 3 is accessible to trained and authorized persons for the following
rights and tasks:
Changing system-specific data which is saved within the VACIE or controlled
by it:
Designations
Allocation to voice alarm zones
Alarm organization
Saving and changing emergency tones and messages
Servicing the VACIE in accordance with the instructions and data from the
manufacturer
Access level 4
Access level 4 is accessible to persons who have been trained and authorized by
the VACIE manufacturer for the following rights and tasks:
Servicing the VACIE
Changing the firmware
Changing fundamental functions
Access levels
