2.5.1 Turn On QAM Update
After a channel change, if the DTA is tuned to a new QAM and the QAM contains a CAT PID with the same CA
system ID as previously stored, the DTA will store the new QAM as its Turn On QAM. After power cycle of the
box, the DTA will immediately tune to the stored Turn On QAM.
2.5.2 Channel Map Updates
While in Normal Operations Mode, the DTA will update its channel map when it detects a new version of channel
map is available or assigned to a new VCT ID. This topic is discussed in more detail in Section 3.0.
2.5.3 Interruption to Service
In the event service is interrupted, the DTA will display an on-screen message as shown in Figure 14. Please note
that the message shown in Figure 14 is for illustrative purposes only and can be modified by the headend.
An interruption in service could be any of the following events, but is not limited to this list.
1.
RF Cable Pulled
2.
Loss of video on a channel
3.
Unsupported scrambling
