Measures before commissioning

The following list of checks to be performed prior to commissioning does not claim to be
complete. It may be necessary to perform further checks and tests in accordance with the
specific situation on-site.
Once the system has been correctly installed, you should check the following prior to
commissioning:
● Carefully ensure that the machine is not damaged.
● Ensure that the machine has been correctly installed and aligned.
● Ensure the correct setting conditions of the drive output elements depending on the type
For example, alignment and balancing of couplings, belt forces in the case of a belt drive,
tooth forces and tooth flank backlash/play in the case of gear wheel output, radial and
axial clearance in the case of coupled shafts.
● Carefully ensure that all fastening screws, connecting elements and electrical
connections have been tightened to the specified torque.
● Carefully checked that the operating conditions match the data provided in accordance
with the technical documentation, such as degree of protection, ambient temperature, etc.
● Carefully ensure that moving parts, for example the coupling, move freely.
● Carefully ensure that all touch protection measures for moving and live parts have been
correctly applied.
● Remove any lifting eyes that were screwed after installation – or secure them to prevent
them becoming loose.
