The filter/control electronic contains the main processing engine along with the
driver circuitry for the power electronic.
The power electronic contains the high-power output transistors that drive the
induction coils.
Please remember the following points: When encountering a filter/control
electronic with a blown fuse track, both electronics need to be replaced. The fuse
track cannot be repaired in USA models, and its failure is usually caused by a
shorted transistor on the power board.
After replacing these electronics, the model programming data needs to be
downloaded to the filter/control electronic. To do this, enter service programming
mode (not customer programming mode) and advance your "P" (position) to P17.
You will see the "S" (setting) value as S12. S12 is the correct value. Execute the
"save" procedure by touching and holding the main switch touchpad  for two
seconds or until service mode exits. The cooktop should now be properly
programmed and ready to operate.
