Answering System Operation

Saving Messages

The system saves your messages automatically. After playing back all your
messages, the system announces "End of messages" and the total number of
messages stored in memory will be indicated in the Message Display.
NOTE: System has a total memory capacity of 15 minutes which can store
up to 63 messages (OGM/ICM/MEMO). If the recorded messages
contains high background noise, the total recording capacity of the unit
will be less than 15 minutes.

Erasing Messages

1. To erase all messages in primary mailbox
Press and hold down the ERASE button until you hear the announcement
"Erasing all messages."
2. To erase all messages in individual mailbox (1, 2, 3, 4)
If you want to erase all messages in a mailbox, activate the desired mailbox
then press and hold down the ERASE button until you hear the
announcement of "Erasing all messages, Mailbox X".
3. To erase selected messages/memos
While the unwanted message is playing, press the ERASE button. The
system announces erasure of the selected message/memo, and the
message display shows the symbol of "EA". Numeric order of the remain-
ing
messages will be rearranged.

When Memory is Full

When memory is full, the ANSWER ON/OFF indicator will be automatically
turned OFF. If no memory is available for messages, the system will answer
after 10 rings and the statement "Sorry, memory is full" will be announced.
The system answers after 10 rings to allow you to access to your Answering
System via remote control but will be turned OFF again after 10 seconds if the
caller does not enter the access code. (Refer to Remote Control Operation on
page 43.)
