Configuration and Generation of an ETERNUS DX8700 S3 for
BS2000 (SE Server)

Configuration Data
80 logical volumes are to be configured, each connected via 4 paths.
The ETERNUS DX8700 S3 has 4 control modules (CMs), 2 channel adapters (CAs) per CM and 4 FC ports on CA0
and 2 FC ports on CA1 of each CM. Not all ports are used in this example.

Configuration of the Fabric
The following describes a sub-configuration which is connected to a SE700 via FC switches:
4 8Gbit FC ports in the DX8700 S3
(CE#0, CM#0, CA#0, Port#0) with WWPN 5000 00E0 DAC1 9A00 (Fabric1)
(CE#1, CM#0, CA#1, Port#1) with WWPN 5000 00E0 DAC1 9A15 (Fabric1)
(CE#0, CM#1, CA#1, Port#1) with WWPN 5000 00E0 DAC1 9AC5 (Fabric2)
(CE#1, CM#0, CA#0, Port#0) with WWPN 5000 00E0 DAC1 9A10 (Fabric2)
are connected to 4 8Gbit FC ports on the FC fabrics.
A transfer rate of 8Gbit/s is set for the FC ports on the switches.

47 with WWPN 2047 0000 0EA0 0CE3
0D with WWPN 200D 0000 0EA0 0CE3

are connected to 4 8Gbit FC ports on the FC fabrics.
A transfer rate of 8Gbit/s is set for the FC ports on the switches.
4 zones (2 x 2) are configured for the channel paths in the FC fabrics.

Configuration of the ETERNUS DX8700 S3
First, configure the host-related settings in the DX8700 S3.
