• The black cap is for fingertip testing only.
• Remember that the opening where the lancet comes out is not in the centre of the cap.
• Remove the cap by pulling it straight o . Do not twist the cap.
• The AST cap* is for testing other approved sites on the body, not the fingertip.
• Remove the cap by pulling it straight o . Do not twist the cap.
• For palm testing, we suggest a depth setting of 3. Once you perform a successful
blood glucose test, you may want to find the lowest depth setting that provides
enough blood with the least amount of pain.
• A new lancet drum is dark grey with a white end.
