ONITOR QUELCH
You can use the key programmed as Monitor or Squelch Off to lsten to weak
sgnals that you cannot hear durng normal operaton and to adjust the volume
when no sgnals are present on your selected channel.
• The con appears on the dsplay whle Montor or Squelch Off s actvated.
Your dealer can program a key wth one of four Montor/Squelch Off functons:
• Monitor: Press to deactvate QT, DQT, DTMF, 5-tone, or FleetSync Sgnalng. Press
agan to return to normal operaton.
• Monitor Momentary: Press and hold to deactvate QT, DQT, DTMF, 5-tone or
FleetSync Sgnalng. Release to return to normal operaton.
• Squelch Off: Press to hear background nose. Press agan to return to normal
operaton.
• Squelch Off Momentary: Press and hold to hear background nose. Release to return
to normal operaton.
n Squelch Level
If a key has been programmed as Squelch Level, you can readjust your
transcever's squelch level:
1 Press the key programmed as Squelch Level.
• The con appears on the dsplay, along wth the current squelch level.

or <B/C> to select your desred squelch level from 0 to 9.

Press the key programmed as Key Lock to lock the transcever front panel and
mcrophone keys.
• When any key s pressed whle Key Lock s actve, "LOCKED" momentarly appears on
the dsplay.
Press the Key Lock key agan to unlock the keys.

IGNAL TRENGTH
The Sgnal Stength ndcator shows the strength of receved sgnals:
Strong
to store the new settng.
