Your dealer may have programmed QT or DQT sgnalng on your transcever
channels. A QT tone/ DQT code s a sub-audble tone/code whch allows you to
gnore (not hear) calls from other partes who are usng the same channel.

PTIONAL IGNALING
Your dealer may also program several types of optonal sgnalng for your
transcever channels.
5-Tone Signaling: Refer to "5-TONE SIGNALING" on page 10.
DTMF Signaling: DTMF Sgnalng opens the squelch only when the transcever
receves a call contanng a matchng DTMF code.
FleetSync Signaling: Refer to "S
MDC-1200: MDC-1200 s a data system usng Audo Frequency Shft Keyng
(AFSK). Transcevers communcate at a 1200 baud rate, usng 1200 Hz and
1800 Hz tones.

PERATOR ELECTABLE
You can change the preset encode and decode tones for the selected channel.
Up to 40 OST pars can be pre-programmed by your dealer.
1 Select your desred channel.
2 Press and hold the key programmed as OST.
• "TONE" appears on the dsplay, followed by the current OST number.
(if the key assignment list selection is configured as "Enabled") or

<B/C> to select your desred OST number.
• You can also drectly enter a number from 01 to 40 usng the keypad.
4 Use the transcever the same as n a regular call.
5 To ext OST mode and return to the preset encode/decode tones, press
5-tone Sgnalng opens the squelch only when the transcever receves a matchng
call. Transcevers that do not transmt the correct tones wll not be heard.
Note: Your transcever functons can nclude ether 5-tone Sgnalng or FleetSync/ MDC-1200.
