Starting a New Configuration

Unified Communications UC 320W Administration Guide

When you log on to the device for the first time, or start a new configuration from
the Restore / Load Session window, the system is in initial setup mode. The
system guides you through the setup process step by step. You must work
through the tasks in the prescribed order.
Click Next to advance to the next step, or click Back to return to the
previous page.
Use the links in the navigation pane to return to any page that you have
viewed previously. Links are unavailable for pages that you have not yet
viewed. You must proceed through the tasks in the prescribed order.
At the end of the System Readiness phase, you will be prompted to apply
the configuration to establish Internet connectivity. This task is required.
If you are not ready to enter the settings on a particular page, you can click
Next to continue without entering new settings. You can return to those
tasks in later sessions, as needed.
During the initial configuration, your settings are automatically saved when
you advance from each Summary page. If needed, you can retrieve an
Autosave files by using the Restore / Load Session link at the top of the
page. For more information, see

At the end of the process, the Apply Configuration page appears. Apply
the configuration and reboot all devices with the new settings. Your settings
are not applied to the devices until you complete this task.
If you need to interrupt your session before you reach the Apply
Configuration page, save your session by using the Backup / Save Session
link at the top of the page. Next time you log on to the device, resume your
saved session by using the Restore / Load Session link at the top of the
