Unified Communications UC 320W Administration Guide
How do I associate phone numbers with specific users or groups?
In this example, there are three phone numbers that need to be routed as follows:
972 555-0100 (FXO line) Main Number (Auto Attendant)
972 555-0300 (SIP trunk) Sales Group
972 555-0301 (SIP trunk) John Jones, Business Manager
Use the Inbound Calls page to route inbound calls to users and groups.
Before you begin: It is assumed that you have created your FXO lines, configured
your SIP trunks, entered your users, and created a hunt group for your Sales Group.
If you have not done so, complete those tasks before continuing.
Click Call Routing > Inbound Calls in the navigation tree.
All FXO lines and SIP/BRI phone numbers are in the Default Route until you create
new routing groups. Any numbers assigned to shared lines are not shown on this
page.
Leave your main number, 972 555-0100, in the default routing group. Keep the
default call destination, Auto Attendant.
To create a new routing group for your sales line, 972 555-0300, click Move. Then
click New Route. Enter the following settings:
Label: Type a description, such as Sales Group.
Day: Choose the Sales Group (hunt group) as the call destination for normal
service. Optionally, also choose a call destination for Night.
To create a new routing group for Mr. Jones' line, 972 555-0301, click Move. Then
click New Route. Enter the following settings:
Label: Type a description, such as Business Manager.
Day: Choose John Jones (user) as the call destination for normal service.
Optionally, also choose a call destination for Night.
Make other changes in the system, as needed, and then apply the configuration.
