INSTALL COUNTERWEIGHTS (FIGURE 5)
WARNING: ALWAYS install counterweights
before operating unit with bagger attached.
ALWAYS remove counterweights when bagger
is removed from unit.
NOTE: Use counterweight bracket (item 30) as a
template for drilling four holes through unit (figure 4).
1. Mark and drill two 11/32-Inch holes through unit for
two 3/8" x 3/4" self-tapping screws (item 31).
2. Mark and drill two 13/32-Inch holes through unit for
two 3/8" x 1-1/4" hex bolts (item 32).

NOTE: The two 1/2" x 5" round head square neck bolts
(item 34) MUST be installed on counterweight bracket
(item 30) prior to installing the counterweight bracket
(item 30) on the unit.
3. Install two 1/2" x 5" round head square neck bolts
(item 34) on counterweight bracket (item 30).
4. Install counterweight bracket (item 30) on unit with
two 3/8" x 3/4" self-tapping screws (item 31), two
3/8" x 1-1/4" hex bolts (item 32), and two 3/8" top
lock flange nuts (item 33).
5. Depending on the model of your unit, apply the
Ariens or Gravely decal (item 37) to decal panel
(item 36).
6. Install two counterweights (item 17) and decal
panel (item 36) on two 1/2" x 5" round head square
neck bolts (item 34) with two 1/2" top lock flange
nuts (item 27).
