ADJUSTMENTS
8.13 MAIN CLUTCH ADJUSTMENT
1.
Undo clutch cover fixing bolts. The cover
can then hinge outwards leaving the clutch
uncovered.
2.
Using a feeler gauge (B Fig. 8.13) adjust
'A' (Fig. 8.14) until the gap is between
0.38mm (0.0014") and 0.50mm (0.0020").
3.
Replace the cover and tighten screws.
Important:
After any adjustment of the main drive clutch the
system check outlined in section 7.2 should be
carried out to ensure the correct operation of the
Operator Presence System.
8.14 PARKING BRAKE ADJUSTMENT
1.
Secure brake cable to abutment on the
handlebar.
2.
Route brake cable through brake bracket
abutment, pull inner cable tight through
pivot pin, and secure with screw B (fig
8,14a)
3.
With Parking brake lever activated adjust
locking nuts (A) in fig 8.14a & 8.14b.
To ensure the brake band is exerting
enough force on the drum a torque force of
xx Nm must be obtained on the Landroll
securing nut without rotating.
