IN-SERIES GAS BOOSTING

This water heater is NOT suitable for installation or operation as an in-series gas
booster to a solar water heater, and should not be used for this purpose.

REMOTE TEMPERATURE CONTROLLERS

Standard or Deluxe remote temperature controllers are not suitable to be used in
conjunction with this product.
EZ-LINK
SYSTEM
The EZ Link system cannot be used in conjunction with this product.

TEMPERING VALVES

This water heater can deliver water at temperatures which can cause scalding.
It is necessary and we recommend that a temperature limiting device be fitted between an
874W27 series water heater and the hot water outlets in any ablution and public areas such
as a bathroom, ensuite or public amenities, to reduce the risk of scalding. The installing
plumber may have a legal obligation to ensure the installation of this water heater meets the
delivery water temperature requirements of AS/NZS 3500.4 so that scalding water
temperatures are not delivered to a bathroom, ensuite or other ablution or public area.
Where a tempering valve is fitted and there is not a separate untempered line for the kitchen
or laundry areas the maximum achievable hot water temperature will be 50ºC. To enable
delivery of hot water at temperatures above 50°C a separate untempered line must be
provided that supplies hot water exclusively to kitchen and laundry areas (refer to diagram).
